Welcome to my official Website.

I am Volker (Folly) Hofschildt and I am known as an solid groove drummer with timing like a Swiss watch. My knowledge and experience is based on 30+ years of drumming, 100+ recording sessions, 2000+ live gigs around the globe. I do support solo-Artists and Bands to record Songs, Album (EP/CD) or play their music at shows and release tours.

I have endorsements from well known recording engineers & Studios around the globe and did numerous sessions in Germany, The Bahamas, Central & Latin America and the United States.

As a producer and promoter I worked with numerous Bands and solo artists and supported them with management & marketing strategies.

My motto is "keep it simple & let it groove " !

Alternative- Classic- or Hard- Rock, Blues, Country, Funk, groove- smooth Jazz, Reggae, Hip Hop, Pop and Latin. If you need the right groove for your project feel free and contact me right away.

Eddy Doran Band live at the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel in Panama City

We will be playing at the 5^th floor "Sparkles" lounge at the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel, from 9:00- 11:59 PM every Thursday & Fridays night for the foreseeable future…

Playing with "Eddy Doran Band" Smooth & Groove jazz shows.

Since last week I am doing Live shows with the EDDY DORAN BAND an US-Chicago Blues/Jazz pianist and an Costa Rica Latin-jazz bass player. We currently do some Shows in Panama City, Rep.de Panama at the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel, every Thursday & Friday night with great smooth and groove jazz as well as blues and funky tunes. If you are in Panama come watch our great show in an extraordinary place. In the near future we also will go in the studio to record some awesome tunes !

More videos from the past !

During my recent Christmas visit in Germany I was lucky and found some live concert VCR-tapes from Bands I played with. After having them digitalized I am now in the process of setting up some web pages were you will be able to watch these videos with great music from the 80s - 90s.

The first 6 videos from a cover Band called "Planed 9 & friends" are ready to watch @ Planet 9 Live ! This was recorded by a TV-Station from North Germany which has broadcast this Live Concert later at the German television. The concert took place at the famous Jahnhalle / Germany in Nov. 1995!

HAVE MERCY - The New Single from Three Pieces is online - !

We recorded this little Masterpiece (Have Mercy) in the Bahamas at the Tower Heights Studios. Clifford Cash and me composed and produced the Song, I played beside the drum- track also the Bass guitar track, Clifford the rhythm and solo guitar and the sang the song with his unique voice. Shelly, a brilliant Bahamian Singer, supported us and sang the complete background vocals. Thanks again to Shelly, your voice is awesome and a perfect match to Clifford vocals.

The interesting thing about this Song is that it was a kind of multinational production because we recorded at the Tower Heights Studio in the Bahamas and did this in conjunction with the PTY-Studios in Panama City where the Songs was mixed and professionally mastered by Nacho Molino an brilliant Sound Engineer from Panama. Go to my MySpace page and listen to this song because I am pretty sure that you'll love it !

The Song will be released soon under HDV-Records and will be available at all major online stores, just look for Three Pieces !

As of October 15th I have joined the Management of PTY-Studios S.A. as a third Partner and Studio musician.

Currently we do recordings with Artists & Bands from Latin & Central America. We also focus with new Services to attract international customer from the US or Europe too because of the very favorable prices the Studio has to offer. PTY-Studios has Latin Grammy Award winning Engineers and is by far the best Recording & Mastering studio with the best gear in Panama City !
